Hazards

Cascade events, Coastal Flooding, High impact low probability event, Inland flooding, Multi-hazard combinations, Sea level rise

The aim of this innovation project is to use recently developed fast numerical models to simulate combinations of hazards (i.e. coastal surge and river flows increase) in two estuaries; the Humber and Dyfi. The model results will produce worst-case and other scenarios, identifying particular reaches in the form of digital maps. This will help infrastructure owners assess risks.
