The aim of this project was to explore a new approach to forecasting the performance of flood and coastal defence embankments. The project applied recent work at the University of Greenwich to develop a novel method of modelling asset deterioration with time. The developed technique provides decision support for the Environment Agency’s teams responsible for earth flood embankment assets
