Hazards

Coastal Flooding, High impact low probability event, Sea level rise

The aim of this innovation project is to explore the feasibility of combining in situ and satellite-based data with statistical models to develop a toolbox which will help identify timings (with uncertainties) of sea-level rise rates and, accordingly, to estimate lead times to upgrade or replace coastal flood defence infrastructure. Such tool will help the industry partners to better plan for the future and implement more effective adaptive pathways.
