Hazards

Other

The aim of this project was to investigate the likelihood and potential impacts of volcanic ash on nuclear generating sites in the UK. This project has produced a comprehensive probabilistic assessment of volcanic ash hazard to UK nuclear generating facilities (as representative of critical infrastructure), and created a database of predicted volcanic ash airborne concentration and thickness for the UK under credible future eruption scenarios
