Hazards

Coastal Flooding

This project aimed to assess the viability of ‘sandscaping’ as a means of coastal defence and resilience in the UK by using new modelling tools and producing evidence to assess its potential in the Dungeness/Romney Marsh region. Flood risk, particle tracking and coastal evolution models were used to enable a range of potential solutions to be modelled and explored for different climate conditions.
